AUCKLAND CABARETS.
| TEIER rAX. Saturday evening was ideal for dancing and there was the usual cheery gathering at (he Peter Pan Cabaret, taking advantage of tlie spirited music dispensed by the band. Yellow jonquils, trailing fern and bright Iceland poppies attractively decorated the tables and the cubicles and the shaded golden nightlights threw a cosy glow over the cabaret Among thoso dancing were: —Sirs. Brendel, in patterned ring velvet gown; Sirs. Bennett, slim-fitting frock of cameo pink faille with widely flaring skirt; Sirs. A. E. Moore, geranium red moire gown; Sirs. J. G. SlcLean, mentho green flowered uinon frock with floating draperies; Sits. Eeid, tucked gown of black georgette with diamante shoulder straps; Miss Rita Cornaga, camellia pink chiffon with draped bodice; Sliss Raie Thomp son, flesh pink ninon frock with soft shoulder cape; Miss Audrey Walton, black georgette frock with yoke and deep hem of black lace mounted on pink georgette; Sliss Parr, black crepe de soie gown with flounced skirt; Sliss Pagni, frilled ankle length frock of water nymph green organdie; Sliss Nance St. Clair Whyte, black chiffon frock worn over palest pink ninon; Sliss Lois Mahon, tea rose pink ninon encrusted with gold paillettes; Sliss Olivo Gaudin, honey coloured broche taffeta frock with flounced skirt; Sliss Bay Slillcr, flared frock of petunia faille; Sliss Valma Roulston, black floral faille with skirt of black georgette; Sliss Etia Poller, gentian blue moiro gown, the widely flared skirt falling in uneven lengths; Sliss Rona Fenton, Naples blue satin boaute frock; Sliss A. Menzies, cherry red satin frock; Sliss F. Chatfield, gown of larkspur blue satin beaute; Sliss L. Collins, peach pink taffeta sprigged witli blue and palest greenj Sliss P. Sutherland, ankle-length gown of wine ring velvet: Miss Olga Carr, preen frilled lace frock; Sliss P. San ford, Chinese red satin; Sliss Bennio SlcDonald, black and amethyst flowered chiffon. CIVIC WIXTERGARDEN. The Civic Wintergarden Cabaret, which is under entirely new management, presented a gay scene on Saturday evening. The entire place was filled with dancers. The latest and most popular dance melodies were attractively played by Gordon Cole and his versatile dance band. The Civic Cafe proved very popular with dancers and other patrons. Among those present were:—Sirs. Louisson, who wore black floral ninon; Sirs. Eccles, lime satin and diamanto trimmings; Sirs. T. Alley, gold satin: Mrs. Somers, black ninon and lace; Sliss W. Roberts, ivory chenille georgette; Miss Goodhcw, black chiffon velvet and silver; Sirs. Dawson, gold tissue and green velvet; Sliss E. Cummins, ivory satin; Sliss Adams, floral chenille georgette; Sirs. H. Soles, cherry satin beaute; Sliss A. Ballantyne, green taffeta; Miss Robson, ivory chiffon velvet; Sliss J. Hope-Johnslone, black taffeta and lace; Miss Campbell, scarlet crepe de chine Miss E. Ballantyne, shell pink georgette. SYMON DS VIL LE STUDIO. The Symondsvillo Studio was most attractively decorated on Saturday evening with red pohutukawa flowers, foliage and green shaded lights for the weekly dance held by Sliss Spencer. There was a good attendance of dancers and inspiriting music was nlaved by Sir. Gordon Cornes and his Slayfair Orchestra, including several new numbers. The conditions for dancing were ideal, as the night was fmo but very cold. Mrs. Spencer wove a frock of grey floral taffeta and Sliss Spencer was in a frock of lime green taffeta and tulle. DIXIELAND. Dixieland was a very pleasant and attractive place on Saturday evening and was again thronged with dancers. The ever-changing lights shed a soft glow 'on the numerous pretty frocks that were worn, and new numbers presented by tho popular band were much appreciated
