DICTAPHONES PROHIBITED. CHECK ON FALLING REVENUE. (Received June 18, 8.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 18. Tho Postmaster-General, Mr. A. E. Green, has abolished the concession rate (o newspaper proprietors for (he despatch of news by telephone on long-distance lines to country newspapers. The Minister lias also prohibited (he use of dictaphones in conjunction with telephones for newspaper offices, which of recent years have made serious inroads into the telegraphic revenue.
