Golding, which reads as follows: — " It seems advisable to sound a warning against the many attempts that will undoubtedly be made to place inferior oils on the market in the form of special mixtures in which the dark colour and bad qualities of inferior oil will be masked by mixing it with other constituents. The use of such a product is false economy, or, buying the cheapest oita obtainable, may iead to disapppintment and a revival of the old prejudice against what must be regarded as a most valuable foodstuff. Where practicable, therefore, it is advised that the oil be administered separately, so that its quality can always be under control and that it be purchased directly from reliable manufacturers who will be prepared to guarantee their product."
