FALL FROM TRAMCAR.
ELDERLY MAN INJURED. VISITOR FROM WELLINGTON. Fractured ribs and minor injuries were received by Mr. William Tonks, aged 71, through falling from a moving t.ramcar at the corner of Balmoral and Mount Eden Roads about 9.45 p.m. yesterday. Mr. Tonks, who intended to alight at the stopping place, was dragged a short distance. The injured man was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, where he was reported later to be making satisfactory progress. Mr, Tonks, who is a visitor from Wellington, lias been residing at. 40, Balmoral Road.
