MOANATAI ARI CRUSHING. ORE AND PICKED STONE. The manager of the Moanataiari mine, Thames, reports:— We crushed 4 tons of ore and 271b. of picked stone for a return of 350z. of retorted gold. The rise for the leading slope is up the distance for breaking off and 151b. of picked stone was secured last week. We fired a round of holes on the footwall reef and there is apparently another reef coming up from the floor. This shows colours of gold.
