LIQUOR FOR NATIVES.
MAN PLEADS GUILTY. FINE OF £lO AT WHANGAREI. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Monday. Before Mr. G. N. Morris, S.M., in the Police Court to-day, Vivian D. Hayward pleaded guilty to supplying liquor to natives. Senior-Sergeant Powell said Hayward was quite frank about tho matter. He had bought the liquor in a local hotel and had delivered it to a Maori. Hayward was fined £lO and costs.
