Grounds, a member of tho Dairy Produce Board, arrived in Auckland yesterday. He is at the Star Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. D. N. MacDiarmid, of the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, loft Auckland yesterday morning for Hamilton and New Plymouth. Mr.„F. W. Moore. Mr. S. Moore and Mr. I. I). Allan, of Wellington, and Mr. It. B. Oamlen, of l'uhoi, are at the Stonehurst. Mr. 0. B. Corbett, chief engineer of the Fijian Government steamer Pioneer, arrived by the Tofua yesterday on a visit to New Zealand. "Mr. C. A. Wilkinson. M.P. for Egniorit, and Mrs. Wilkinson, who spent the weekend in Auckland, left by the limited express last evening. Lieutenant-Colonel Bai l ley Bull, of Ontario, Canada, Mr. 11. Jakobsen, of Wellington, and Mr, K. Griffiths, of New Plymouth, arc at the Grand Hotel. Mr. A. Whitcornbe. Mr. TT. G. Tragic, Mr. Iv Deacon and Mr. G.H. Allan, of Wellington, and Mr. U. T. Reid, of Hamilton, aro at the Hotel Cargen. Dr. W. <"!. Bridgman, of l'apakura. loft by the Maliana last week for England, where he proposes to continue his studies. He is accompanied by Mrs. Bridgman. Mr. S. W. M. Stilling, of the Australian National Travel Association,-who has been visiting Auckland, returned to Wellington by the limited express last evening. Mr, C. T. Strotber and Mr. L. ,7. Purdie, of Wellington, Sir. M. Wallace and Mr. G. Gibson, ol: New Plymouth, Mr. H. Robinson, of Cambridge, arid Mr. ■J. W. Arbury, of Thames, aro at tho Central Hotel. Mr. Paul Fogg, who is making, a world tour, arrived at Auckland by tho Tofua yesterday. He lias spent a year in the South. Sea Islands, and, after an indefinite stay in New Zealand, intends to travel to the East by way of Australia. Mr. I. S. Cantrejl. who has been assistant manager of the National Bank of New Zealand in Auckland since August, 1928, has received notice of his transfer to the general manager's office of the Lank in Wellington. Mr. Cantrell will leave for Wellington at the end of this week.
