Action has been taken by tho I'iako County Council to close the Mangaiti River Bridge, near To Aroha, to all traffic. The structure has been deemed unfit for service for some time. It formerly carried a good proportion <>f traffic for Waitoa. Waihou and Morrinsville. 'J'he settlers affected are somewhat concerned as to the steps the council intend to take to relieve the position, as they say serious inconvenience has been caused. Mr. Kennedy, . riding member on the council, said he was arranging ;i conference with the Ohinemuri County Council and he expected prompt measures would be taken to have the bridge made safe for traffic.
