ATTITUDE OF POWER BOARD. CONCESSION TO TRADE FIRMS. A decision not to take space and conduct an exhibit at the Auckland Winter Show, which is to he held this year from July 8 to July 18, was reached yesterday by Ihe Auckland Electric-Power Board, which decided to provide free power to electrical firms making demonstrations. Tho general manager, Mr. R. 11. BaitIcy, said tho amount of money entailed in conducting the class of exhibit it would be necessary for the board to display would not produce business in proportion to the outlay. If the board were trading direct in electrical appliances the position would bo different. "I do think, however, that in the event of tho .trade combining to make an electrical exhibit and demonstration, the board might assist, as in previous years, by providing the necessary power for demonstration purposes free of cost," added the manager Alter the chairman, Mr. \V.
