M„ HERRIOT RESIGNS. VICTORY OF SOCIALISTS. (Received March 30, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS, March 29. M. Herriot has resigned the Mayoralty of Lyons in consequence of a sweeping Socialist victory at the primary elections of members of the Senate to represent the Rhone Department. The victory of the Socialists was due to breaking up of their old alliance with the Radical-Socialists, of whom M. Herriot is the leader.
