ADVERSE EFFECT ON ANGLERS

The Canterbury Acclimatisation Society yesterday passed a resolution that a strong protest be sent to the Marine Department against the granting of licences to net salmon in the Waimakariri River. It was contended that four mon now had a monopoly to the detriment of hundreds of anglers.
