IMPORTED JERSEY CATTLE.

A VALUABLE CONSIGNMENT.

ARRIVAL FROM . CANADA,

A consignment of valuable pedigree Jersey cattle arrived at Auckland from Canada by the steamer Waihemo yesterday morning. The stock, which is consigned to Mr; E. Griffiths, New Plymouth, comprises 15 bulls and 12 cows and heifers. Some of the cattlo were bred on Jersey Island and the remainder in Canada. The oldest animal on the vessel is the five and a-lialf-year-old bull Forward Volunteer, whose dam, a daughter of Forward, has a. record of 7401b. o£ butter-fat.
