EUROPEAN WINTER.
COLD MOST INTENSE, MANY DEATHS REPORTED. LONDON, March 11. Every part of Europe is in the grip of the most intense cold. There were 33 degrees of frost at Lympne, Kent, to-day. In Sweden the snow lay 9ft. deep. ' Four people died of cold in England and many deaths have occurred on the Continent.
