MARRIAGE OF BISHOP.
RT. REV. L. S. KEMPTHORNE. PASSENGER BY AORANGI. SUVA, Jan. 22. The Rt. Rev. L. S. Kempthorne, Anglican bishop in Polynesia, was married this morning to Mrs. Wride, an American, after a short courtship. They will sail in the Aorangi to-day and will spend their honeymoon in New Zealand.
Tho Rt. Rev. Leonard Stnnlev Kempthorne was born at Nelson in 1886, and was at Nelson College and Oxford University. He was ordained in 1914 and worked in Northern Nigeria and later in Malay. He was consecrated bisbep in Polynesia at Lambeth Palaco Chapel in 1923.
