While 3000 spectators were watching a murder drama on the screen in the Mercedes Film Palace tho manager, Herr Schmoller, was actually murdered in a sound-proof room behind the screen. The assailant decamped with tho evening's takings. He had shot his victim behind steel-coated doors which deadened the noise.
