SEVERE COLLISION.

CREAM LORRY AND CAR. DRIVER SERIOUSLY INJURED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. A serious motor accident occurred this: morning on the main Maungatautari. Road, about five miles from Cambridge, when a cream lorry, driven by Mr. Ray James, collided with a car driven by Mr. George Clancy, of Cambridge, who suffered severe injuries to his chest and abrasions to the face and head. The driver of the lorry was not injured.

The accident occurred at a corner. The car was almost pushed over a steep embankment. It is very fortunate that the. lorry did not push the car a fraction further, as tragedy might have occurred. After receiving medical attention the injured man was conveyed to his home, where he is progressing as well as can be expected. The car was damaged extensively.
