LATE MR. SHAILER WESTON
FUNERAL AT WELLINGTON. REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDANCE. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPOND EXT. j WELLINGTON, Thursday. Although announced as private, the funeral of the late Hon. T. Shailer Weston, M.L.C., to-day was attended by a large number of people, representing every section of the community, hut particularly thoso legal, commercial and legislative circles in which Mr. Weston moved and exerted an influence. The New Zealand Employers' Federation, the Law Society and the Legislative Council were represented by a large number of mourners, and nearly every seat in St. Paul's Cathedral was occupied. The service conducted by the Bishop of Wellington, Dr. T. H. Sprott. Apart from the chief mourners those present included the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, and Lady Myers, Sir Henry Buckleton and Lady 'Buckleton, Sir Thomas Sidey, Sir Francis Bell, Right Hon. J. G. Coates 1 and Mrs. Coates, Sir Alexander Roberts, Mr. T. O. Bishop and Professor Rankine Brown.
