Mr. G. Lormcr, general manager of J. B. Were and Son, a prominent Melbourne stockbroking firm, returned to Auckland from Wellington yesterday nnd is at the Grand Hotel. He will leave for Sydney by the Maunganui to-day.

Bishop Williams, of Waiapu and Bishop Cherrington, of Waikato, were in Auckland yesterday attending the annual meeting of the Diocesan Pension Board. Bishop Cherrington returned to Hamilton yesterday and Bishop Williams will leave for Napier to-day.
