FIRE DESTROYS HOUSE.

DWELLING AT RUNCIMAN. Fire at about midnight on Wednesday destroyed a five-roomed house and out buildings at Runciman owned by Mr. M. Wilson, of Mount Eden. The occupants of the house, Mr. and Mrs. Ovcraul, were absent at the time.

INCIPIENT OUTBREAK. UNOCCUPIED HOUSE IN CITY. A fire broke out in some coconut fibre and tow under an unoccupied house, 5, Sale Street, city, just before 9 o'clock last evening. The flames were quickly suppressed and no damage was done to the house, 'lho cause of the outbreak is not known. The house is the property of Samuel Vaile and Sons, Limited.
