The little vessel was'receiving a severe battering, and to inako matters worse, tho benzine was running low. The only course left was to run her up on Lake Ferry beach. This was done successfully, and the passengers returned lo Wellington by car. The launch's tanks were later refilled and she was refloated and returned to Wellington.
