RACING IN BOTH ISLANDS.
MAN USES AN AEROPLANE.
The remarkable performance of driving at the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting at Alexandra Park on Wednesdayand after a journey by ti'jiin and aeroplane driving at :;he Canterbury Park Trotting Club's meeting at Addington, Christchurch, yesterday, was achieved by Mr. C. S. Donald, of Christchurch. Mr. Donald was the most iiuciessfui driver and trainer at the Auckland meeting, winning four races and being deadheat for first place in a further contest. After the final day of the meeting on Wednesday he left Auckland by train for the South in the evening. At Marton yesterday morning Sir. Donald left the train and in an aeroplane piloted by Captain McGregor flew to Christclhurch. Later in the day he won the first r.E.ca at Addington.
This was the first time Mr. Dor.ald had been in an aeroplane.
