CHILDREN'S HEALTH CAMPS.
SEASIDE HOLIDAY ARRANGED OSTEND PARTY LEAVES TO-DAY. '' The first of the two children's health camps organised by the Community Sunshine Association, in co-operatioj with the Health Department, will open at Ostend, Waiheke Island, to-day. The officers left on Saturday to prepare the building given by Mr. and Mrs. B. Arnoldson for the 25 girls, who will arrive today. It is intended that they shall stay there for a little over a fortnight, and that on January 15 they shall be replaced by 25 boys, who are to enjoy the privileges of the camp for a similar period. A larger camp for 80 boys and girls will be opened in the Government buildings on Moluihi on January 5. I lie cliildern will be of a type more robust in health than those at Ostend and will have the care and supervision of 10 adults. No definite period has been fixed for the closing of this camp, and it is possible that if it fulfils all expectations its benefits may be made available to others later.
The association has been besieged with applications on behalf of needy and most deserving children and at present has a long waiting list. Tho greatest difficulty has been experienced in selecting from, among the many children anxious to join the camps those most urgently in need ol' such a recreative holiday. Mr. G. H. Phinuner is to he in charge of the Moluihi camp." A' nurse is to bo provided by the Health Department and (wo. of the. association's medical advisers will always be within reach by telephone.
