SOUTH AUSTRALIA WINS. QUEENSLAND'S POOR DISPLAY. (Received December 28, 5.5 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Dec. 28. In tho Sheffield Shield cricket match, Queensland in the first innings made 124 (Thompson 50, Grimmctt 4 for 23) and in tho second innings 117 (Cough 36, Griinmett, 5 for 31). South Australia won by an innings and 64 runs. At Melbourne there was no play in the match between Victoria and NewSouth Wales yesterday, owing to rain. Monday i 8 the final day for play.
