YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH. Auckland.—Fine but cloudy weather prevailed yesterday and a light northerly breeze made the conditions warmer than they have been for some time. The barometer was practically steady at 30.00 in. until lash night, when it rose slightly. Wellington.—The weather was; warm in Wellington yesterday. The morning was dull, but the sun shone brightly in the afternoon. The wind was light from the north.
Christchurch.—Although there was a good deal of cloud yesterday, the weather was warm and pleasant, with a moderate breeze from the north-east. The maximum temperature was 60 degrees. The barometer, after falling slowly all day, in the evening showed a rising tendency, the reading being 29.90 in. Dunedin. —The weather was fine and pleasant yesterday, the sun shining from a cloudless sky. The wind was light from the north-east. The maximum temperature was 72 degrees. The barometer showed a slight falling tendency, the reading last evening being 29.80iiv
