YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS' IN THE SOUTH.. Auckland.—Stormy weather was perienced during Iho week-end. The con* ditions were fine yesterday afternoon and last evening. Wellington.—Saturday morning was firjo, but rain commenced about midday and showers continued with thunder and hail in the night until mid-day yesr terday. Tho afternoon was sunny and warm , with a breeze itrom the north. Some of the rain on Saturday night was exceedingly heavy. Christchorch. —The weather over thf» weok-end was warm and sunny, but * boisterous north-west wind made conditions out of doors, unpleasant. r lh« barometer had little movement, and tha reading last evening was 29.40 in. Dunedin.—The weather was duU and overcast on Saturday, with a fresh wind from the south-west. A thunderstorm and heavy raiu were experienced oit Saturday night. Yesterday was fin® and pleasant, tho sun shilling for several hours. The maximum temperature was 67 degrees and the wind was light from the north-east. The barometer was still low but steady, the reading in tho evening being 29.25 in.
