STANLEY BAY PARISH.

NEW VICAR INSTITUTED. ! The institution of the Rev. W. E. Lush, of Parnell, as vicar of Stanley Bay, took place at the Church of St. Augustine .last evening. The service was conducted by Archdeacon G. Mac Murray, vicar-general of the diocese, :in (the presence of a large congregation, ilrchdeacon Mac Murray explained that it had not been possible to licence Mr. Lush as vicar until Stanley Bay had been made a separate parochial district from Devonport, but that had now been arranged by synod. Work on the new brick church in front of the present building has reached an advanced stage, and it is anticipated that it will be completed before the end of the year.
