BOOK OF QUOTATIONS. Over 500 quotations, mainly tho selection of prominent Auckland citizens, have been gathered by a special committee of the Auckland branch of the International Federation of University Women in a compact and attractive little volume, its parchment-like cover stamped with the blue and gold badge of the Federation. The profits from tho sale of tho book are in aid of the establishment of a Research Scholarship Fund for women graduates. The opening quotations were kindly sent by tho Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe, His Excellency's being (he famous defiance of the tongno of gossip: "They sny. What, say they? Let them say." Thero is, in (ho anthology, a delightful variety of source and subject which makes tho lit tin book extremely interesting even to the general reader while, as a gift for instance, to Auckland-born friends abroad, it will bo particularly valued for its revelations of intimate personal lasl.es.
