OPERATIONS AT WAIHI. [BY telegraph.—own CORRESPONDENT. ] "WAIHI, Thursday. Tlio following information has been cabled to tho London offico of tho Waihi Gold Mining Company:— Xo. 8 Level.—At a point 400 ft. east of number 6 shaft crosscut driving has boon Commenced east and west in tho Harman south crosscut. No. 9 Level.—Martha lode: In the Grand Junction area tho next 57ft., driving east, is of little or no valub. No. 11 • Level.—Empire lode: At 125 ft. west wo have crosscut to north, and from 17ft. to 27ft. is a carbonaceous seam. We are now crosscutting south. In the Dominion lode in tho Grand Junction area tho next 40ft., driving east, assays 24s 9d per ton. The north wall is in hand.
