YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH. Auckland.—Fine, but cloudy weather prevailed yesterday and a light breeze was blowing from the south-west. Tho barometer was falling after mid day and registered 29.75 in. last night. Wellington.—ln Wellington yesterday it was sunny in the morning, but toward noon it became overcast and these conditions prevailed for tho remainder of the day. Tho wind blew briskly from tho north.
Christchurch. —Tho weather yesterday was fine and calnv : until tho afternoon, when a north-west wind sprang up, and tho remainder of tho day was delightful. Tho maximum temperature was 67 degreps. The barometer fell, the reading in the evening being 29.39 in.
Dunedin.—The weather was dull and unsettled in Dunedin yesterday, with occasional brief periods of sunshine and a fresh wind from the north-east. Th« maximum temperature was 62 degrees. The barometer was falling, the reading last evening being 29.30 in.
