PROPOSED SCENIC RESERVE.
TIMBER TO BE MILLED.
Regret that the proposal to retain tho bush land in tho Mangamuka Gorge as a scenic reserve had been definitely rejected by the Government, was expressed in a letter received from Mr. R. A. Finlayson at a meeting of the council of the Auckland Automobile Association last evening. The letter stated that the property was now under offer to a firm of timber merchants.
