"AUCKLAND IN 1940."
An address on " Auckland in 1940'' will fce given by the F.ev. Jasper Calder at a concert and picture entertainment, to be given at the Civic Theatre to-morrow evening. It, will bo the last occasion on which Mr. Calder will conduct a Sunday evening popular service in connection with tho Auckland City Mission. The lecture will be preceded by items by Misses Sara Stacpoolo and Mina Caldow, and Messrs. 11. Barry Coney and Ewart Lyne, the octet from " Tutankhamen," and a professional orchestra under Mr. Howard Moody. Mr. Calder's address will deal particularly with the unemployment problem and ho'jfwill advance to copo with the present position. Invitations have been issued to prominent citizens to be presont. There will _ also bo on view a model of Auckland in W mado by membors of the City Mission Guild. A programme of moving pictures ;will also bo presented.
