HONEYMOONS BY AIR.
FROM LONDON* TO PARIS
TRIPS ALMOST EVERY DAY. Journeys to Paris from London by air liner are now regarded as a fitting beginning to modern honeymoons. To leave by anything so commonplace as a train or ship is to be described as "frightfully old-fashioned."
The latest young couple to begin their honeymoon by air are the. Karl of Ava and his bride, formerly Miss Maureen Guinness, who flew from Croydon by special aeroplane for Paris, while two members of tho London Aeroplane Club who were to marry intended to leave Stag Lane aerodrome, Edgware, on a " secret " flight through Europe in a tinv Moth machine. They arc Mr. George Harris and Miss Minnie Spencer, who are flying members of the club. The bridegroom will pilot the machine. An official of Imperial Airways, recently said that honeymoon couples leave Croydon aerodrome almost every day. He added: "Sometimes we have couples arriving for the Paris air mail straight from the wedding, tho brides wearing their white dresses and veils and blushing as their friends pelt them with confetti as they board the aeroplane. Machines are often showered with rice and confetti as they start to take off, but 110 one has yet attempted to tie a lucky boot on the (ail skid."
It is quite common for couples to charter their own machines, which they decorate inside with flowers before flying off to Franco or Germany.
