LATE SIR G. HUNTER.

FUNERAL AT WAIPUKURAU. LARGELY-ATTENDED SERVICE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —rRESS ASSOCIATION. J WAIPUKURAU. Friday. The funeral of Sir George Hunter took place to-day. A service in St. Mary's Church was conducted by Canon E. D. Rice, and was very largely attended. Mr. H. M. Campbell, M.P., represented the Reform Party; and the Hon. A. J. Murdoch, the Government. All the business premises were closed during the service. Jockey club stewards acted as pallbearers. After the service, the body was taken to deceased's station for private burial. A large number of motor-cars went as far as the borough boundary, and a special car carried a great number of wreaths from all parts of the Dominion.
