Sir, —The officers and crew of the Ventura are to be accorded a civic reception when they arrive in San Francisco next week, which is just as it should be. What is Auckland going to do in the way of a welcomo home to our own heroes when they arrive? Are the Americans to receivo all the honours? F. Thompson.
