IDLE AND DISORDERLY.
LOITERING IN DOMAIN. THREE MEN IN COURT. Charges of being idle and disorderly and having insufficient lawful means of support were denied by James Russell Hunter, aged 44, Robert Ross, aged 58, and William Vance Aitkcn, aged 33, all labourers, in the Police Court yesterday. Constable Hickey said he visited the Domain as the result of complaints and found tho three accused with a bottle of moihylat.ed spirits. Hunter and Ross admitted drinking some of the spirits. Tliore had been several complaints from people living in the vicinity that the three ■accused had been loitering round tho Domain. Staff-Captain Holmes, of the Salvation Army, said Hunter and Ross had work to go to and would be out of town if they were allowed to take the work which had been promised them "Take him awav and clean him up, ' tho magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt said, in remanding Aitken for a week for sentoncp. The other two accused were con victed and ordered to come up for sen tence if called upon within six months
