ACTIVITIES AT HONOLULU. UNIVERSITY GRADUATES MEET. (Received August IS, 5.5 p.m.) HONOLULU, August 17. As tho majority of the delegates to tho Pan-Pacific Women's Conferenco are University graduates a group meeting was arranged for monitors of tho International Federation of University Women. This look tho form of a Sunday breakfast at the Honolulu Country Club. The 66 graduates present discussed the possibility of closer co-operation within the federation's Pacific group. Y.W.C.A. representatives aro also holding group meetings. Tho programme of tho conference for the second week includes the following papers: One by Dr. Ethel Osborne on industrial hygiene and one by Mrs. Bertha Landes, formerly Mayor of Seattle, Washington, on municipal social service. A party was given yesterday in tho grpunds of the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Lowrey, whero picturesque groups of Hawaiians, Filipinos, Chinese and Japanese children were seen in national ceremonial dances.
