THE MOTHERS' UNION.
WORLD CONFERENCE. [from our own correspondent.] LONDON, July 3Tho worldwide conference of tho Mothers' Union is to bo openod next Monday (July 7), when tho delegates will be received by tho central president (Mrs. H. W. Boustead), at the Mary Sumner House. The conference will continuo in session until July 24, when thero will be a great thanksgiving servico in Westminster Abbey. New Zealand will be represented by delegates from Dunedin, Wellington and Auckland, and also by Mrs. Avcrill, and by the wives or tho Bishops of Christchurch, Waiapu, Nelson and Waikato. At tho afternoou session on July 8, tho subjects will bo "Mothers' Union Dominion Councils and Self-Government,' and "The Relation of Dioceses to tho Central Council and to Dominion Councils." On this occasion Lady Alice Fergusson and Mrs. West Watson will speak on behalf of New Zealand. Ono of the great attractions of the conference will bo a pageant entitled "The Golden-Ring," written and produced by Mr. Henry Millar, who produced the pageant "The Gift" in the Jubilee year. This will be staged at tho Royal Albert If all twice a day for thrco days. A reception is also to bo held at tho Albert Hall to the overseas bishops who have come to London from all parts of the world for 'the Lambeth Conference. .
