MEXICAN OFFICERS' FATE.

Tragedy attended an attempted non-stop flight from Cerroloco, Mexico, to Buenos Aires to-day by Colonel Pablo Sidar and his co-pilot, Lieutenant Rovirosa, both of whom were killed. The fliers wcro within about three miles of tho port of Limon, Costa Rica, north of Panama, when their machine, a large silver and gold monoplane, nose-dived into the Caribbean Sea. Tho airmen had en* deavoured to land at Limon to evado a storm, but the monoplane crashed in shallow water and was destroyed. Colonel Sidar jumped out, but was killed, his companion perishing in the machine. Tho former was a popular flier and his loss is mourned in Mexico City. A mechanic was to have accompanied the two officers but notwithstanding his protests ho was left behind in order to save weight.
