The sloop Veronica arrived hero to-day. Tho Mayor, Mr. B. C. Bobbins, tho town clerk, Mr. R. B. Shearman, tho chairman of tho Harbour Board, Mr. J. 0. Green, tlio county chairman, Mr. W. I?. Sinclair, and other local body officials met tho ship down the harbour and extended a welcome to tho ollicors and men. Tho ship is berthed at tho new railway wharf opposite Monmouth redoubt and is. to bo open for inspection by schoolchildron. A civic reception was accorded tho officers this afternoon.
