SPORT WITH SWORDFISH.

RUSSELL, Tuesday,

Fishing from the launch Alma G. yesterday, Mr. Leander McCormick hooked two swordfish simultaneously. He played them both for 20 minutes, but succeeded in landing only one, which weighed 2651b. It put up an excellent fight. Mr. Andbrey Sara, on the launch Marlin, landed a swordfish weighing 1951b.

To-day, Mr. Burge, fishing from the launch Zane Grey, caught a swordfish weighing 1731b.

SUCCESS OFF MAYOR ISLAND.

ANOTHER SWORDFISH CAUGHT.

A pigeon message from the launch Naomi, on which a party is fishing off Mayor Island, states that Colonel Colan captured a swordfish and Mr. E. E. Preston secured a blue shark.
