HARDEN—THOMPSON,

The marriage was celebrated at St. James' Church, Mangere Bridge, on Wednesday evening of Miss Naisi Elizabeth Thompson, youngest daughter of Captain and Mrs. R, H. Thompson, of . I ark Avenue, Mangere Bridge, to Mr. Geolirey Noel Harden, son of the late Mr. Robert Usher Harden and Mrs. Harden, of Dublin, Ireland. The Venerablo Archdeacon Hawkins, assisted by tho Rev. A. Venables, vicar of Mangere, perlormed tho ceremony, which was partly clioial. The bride, who was given away by..tier father, wore a frock of white georgette over ivory satin and trimmed with silver. A lace veil and orange blossoms completed a charming ensemble and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet., In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Thompson, sister of the bride, who wore a frock of green georgette over gieen satin with a lemon Bangkok hat to tone, and she carried an autumn-tinted bouquet. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. John Erickson Stevens, of Cbristchurch, as best man.

MARSHALL—BUXTON

At the Methodist Church, New Brighton, Christ'church, the wedding Wits celebrated of Miss Elsie F. M. Buxton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Buxton, of New Brighton, and Mr. Edward M. Marshall 8.A., seventh son of Rev. and Mrs 'G. T. Marshall, of Morningsido, Auckland. The Rev. 0. S. Pearn performed the ceremony. The bride entered the church with her father, wearing a pretty frock of ivory georgette with uneven hemline and front panel of radium lace fastened at the side and neck with orange blossoms and an embroidered tulle veil which formed a train. _ Her bouque was of white roses and maidenhair fern. In attendance were her two sisters, Misses Eileen and Hazel Buxton, who \%eie dressed in frocks of pink and ninon, with picture hats to match, an they carried bouquets to tone. Ihe best man -was Mr. Eric Marshall, brother of the bridegroom, and the groomsman Mr. Russell Buxton, brother of the bride.

FARRAR—HARRIS.

St. Paul's Church, Huntly, was the scene of a pretty wedding last week when Dorothy Evelyn, the y°» n g cr „ d *X' ter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Harris, of Huntly, was married lo Stanley, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. William Farrar, also of lluntly. The Rev C. Bush-King was the officiating minister. The bride wore a frock of delicate shell pink georgette with a long-pointed over skirt. The corsage was tight-fitting, having long full sleeves showing lacing above the cuffs, the hip-line being marked with a large pink flower. A picture hat of pale pink straw was worn, and she carried a bouquet of piftk and white flowers. 'l'wo bridesmaids were in attendance, Miss Edith Harris, sister of the bride, who was fjockcd in pale blue georgette over satin with a cluster of blue and white flowers on one hip. The full sleeves were of lace and georgette and she wore a blue picture hat. A bouquet of blue and white flowers was carried. Miss Elva Parkes wore a pretty frock of honey beige crepe do chine, made in a similar style, and <i picture hat of blue pearl Nisca straw. Her bouquet of sweet peas toned with her frock.
