BOY DIES IN HOSPITAL'.

FALL INTO BOILING JAM.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHURCHi Tuesday. A small boy, John McLaughlin, whose parents live at Armagh Street, died in the Christchurch Hospital to-day, as a result of scalds he received on January 7. While jam making was in progress the boy fell backward into a preserving pan of boiling jam, and his legs and back were badly scalded.
