The Thames bowling tournament opened thi3 morning in fine weather. A wind blew across the greens and made play somewhat- difficult. Twenty-one teams 'jiro competing. The president-. Mr. P. McCiillough. briefly welcomed the visitors, for whom Mr. I'ilkington (Hamilton) replied. Results ci tho day's play are :■ —
