TO-DAY'S PROGRAMME. The Levin Racine Club holds ita spring meeting to-day. The following is the list of acceptances for the various events:— ' MAIDEN RACE; 6.fur. PROSPECTS AT LEVIN. OUTLOOK FOR TO-DAY. [BY TELEGRAPH- —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] "WELLINGTON, Friday. With fine weather prevailing there is every indication that the popular Levin meeting to-morrow will be as well patronised as ever. On recent form Ben Hur should be favourite for ; the Maiden Race. Rasouli and Pari are the most likely of the rest. Hard Gold, penalised 14lb, will be hord to beat again in. the Manukau Hack Hurdles. Calluna may be his strongest opponent. - Make Up has gone up to 9.4 in the Weraroa Hack Handicap, but should still bo hard to beat. Footpad and Elysianor have the best form of the rest. Clarendon, penalised to 9.4 in the Mako Mako Handicap, may be beaten by the weight. Possible improvers are Ex Dono and Acredity. The Hawk. 8.13, Merry Mint, 8.4. and Glare, 7.8, are three rehandicaps in the cup. The elect of the first pair will bo in demand and if a capable rider is found for Glare he should be hard to beat, but the small track will be against him. This is tho course to suit Talisker, while Duellona, at 7.0, will also be in demand. Talisker and Ducllona may do best. Iruateagirl now has to carry 8.7 in the Lake Hack Handicap. She is not by any means handicapped out of the race. Gold Bag, in this class at 6.0, reads next best to her. If Goshawk, with a leading jockey up, is produced in the McDonald Memorial ho will touch a short price. Banket and Hunting Boy and Quantum will Bee that tho pace is on. Hunting Boy should be hard to beat.
Poat positions will be important in the concluding event. Form points strongly to Acora. Tea Taster and Just So may be next best.
