AND MISS ISHBEL MACDONALD. 'flic meeting (if the Queen and Miss Ishbel Mac Donald, at Sandringham recently, must have been one of mutual pleasure. Tho Queen lias a high opinion of Miss Ishbel and her intelligence and practical ability, writes one who knows.

"I do so like seeing girls who do things," her Majesty once said at Bedford College, when sho stood- watching the pupils at their tasks. No one can deny that Miss Mac Donald merits this description.

She spent some time talking with tho Queen while the Premier had an interview with the King and, no doubt, found many subjects in which they were both keenly and equally interested.
