Upon his death in 1892 Mr. Service s business was carried on for,his widow by Mr. Kenneth Service until 1918, when it was purchased by Mr. Alex. Service. In the meantime trade had grown to considerable proportions and the firm had moved to more commodious premises in Alexander Street. Upon being taken over by Mr. Al**- Service the business gained in repute in consequence of the high class of product turned out and before long it became necessary to seek a larger factory, which was secured in Exmouth Street, off Newtop Road, where the firm now carries on business.
