BOYS: Rogers Nay lor: An interesting collection, well arranged, with very good pages cf mosses, lichens and grasses. Also a good collection of sca-sliells. Cuthbert Adams: Missed cash prize by sending in loose leaves instead of scrapbook, as directed. A fine collection of lec.ves and ferns, showing much care in pressing and mounting. George Grason: A bright and pretty book, with many small specimens of flowers and ferns; neatly printed descriptions. Eric Driver: Particularly good collection of grasses, ferns and leaves. Jim Middleton and Ben McKinstry; Excellent books from these two boys, with specimens nicely arranged. GIRLS: Margaret Sexton: A very large and wellarranged collection, but not done exclusively fur " Boj'3 and Girls." Winifred Stone: A most attractive book, with .baud-pointed cover; specimens neatly arranged and named, with appropriate verses printed at the side. Phyllis Branson: Book of 103 specimens. leave 3 and ferns, but no flowers. Very nicely arranged. Primrose Self: A good collection of native leaves, well named and described, but no llowers, terns nor mosses. Gwen Stone: Handsomo book with handpaiuted cover, containing orchids, leaves, ferns. A very careful piece of work. Helen Meares: Large general collection. A special feature, two beautiful pages of exceptionally fine, pansicß, well pressed and prettily arranged. Nancy Jones. Very good collection of ferns, leaves, mosses and grasses, but rather too many crowded together 011 the one puce. Otherwise excellent. Betty Aicken: A neat book, with pretty cover, title done in small pieces of fern arranged around a painting. An interesting collection. Wenda Scott: Specimens of seaweed, garden flowers, grasses and ferns, well-pressed and arranged. Some particularly nice ferns. Lorn a Shepherd. A neat and prettily arranged little book, with attractive designs worked out in grasses, daisies and buttercups. Annie Stockley; Some very pretty pages of flowers. Leaves and feri;s not quite so cood. Mavis McKcuzic. A rather limited collection, but very tastefully mounted on tinted and hand-decorated pnges. Winifred Stanton and Beverley Williamson: Particularly good books from these siiitill girls, with ferns, flower and leaves very • prettily arranged. Bathia Luttrell: No garden flowers, but plenty.of ferns, well pressed and very nicely mounted. Congratulations to all competitors 011 their excellent work in a most interesting and successful competition. Prize-winning and other entries have, been sent, up to Princess Mary Hospital for the use of boys and girls in the hospital school.
