THE ROADS.
A road may lead to anywhere— To towns, or docks, or quays. Or to the place where fairies dance Among the forest trees. It mav lead to a huge dark cave, With gold aDd jewels piled high; Or hava a mountain at its end That towers towards the sky. It may lead to a bright cascade, Where silver waters drop; But, oh, tho road I love the best Leads to tho toffee-shop!
