Vincent last evening:— Fair to fine weather is indicated during tin- week-end, with moderate day temperatmes and fairly cold nights. Southerly lo south-westerly winds, moderalo to strong, decreasing, and giving place to variable and moderate breezes. Seas smooth to moderate. Tho high barometric pressure system is now established over the Dominion and a spoil of fine, quiet weather is expected. Bu,rometcr, midnight, steady .. 30.301n, Midnight. Thursday .. .. 30.151n. GOVERNMENT REPORT. Tho Government meteorologist reported last ovening as follows:—An anti-cyclone covers tho Eastern Tasuian Sea and Now Zealand. Indications are for westerly winds in Olago and Southland and mainly south-west to south elsewhere, light lo moderate generally. Seas ( siiiooth or moderate generally. Light to moderate winds in the eastern Tasman, westerly in tho southern portion variable with south to south-cast prevailing in the central and northern portions. Weather; Some scattered showers on the east coast between Napier and Easi Cape; otherwise fine generally. Cold night temperatures with some !ic;ht frosts inland; milder to-morrow. The indications aro for fine weather almost generally during the week-end.
