'A grand concert in aid of. tho Holy Cross Catholic Church, Henderson,, _was given by Auckland artists in tho Town Hall beforo a largo and appreciative audience. The programme was a lengthy and varied 0110 and consisted of songs by Aliss .Tessio Smith, Aliss D. Lawson, Aliss AT. O'Grady, Aliss Davis, Air. W. Dickson, Air. Percy Wright, Air. Leo. O'Alalley, Mr. G. Bell and Air. V. O'Halloran; violin solo by Alaster .T. Alolloy; elocutionary items, Tho Alorris Sisters; ifiipersona(inns, Air. Percy Cooke; pianoforte solo. Aliss W. Plant. Tho accompanists were Aliss Alona Griffin, Aliss W. Plant and Air. Oliver Firkin. Tho items were enthusiastically received and a substantial sum is expected as a result of this function
